¹⁹ His mother and his brothers came to him, but they couldn’t get near him because of the crowd. ²⁰ Jesus^[a] was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and want to see you.”

²¹ But he answered those people,^[b] “My mother and my brothers are those who hear a message from God and heed it.”
